SYSTEM PAGE TEMPLATES
How to select the templates for System Pages in HubSpot domain settings
When you are setting up system pages, you will see at least 2 templates in the dropdown for POWER.
If you have more than one child theme or an old clone, you will see one template per instance of the theme.
When you click in the box to select a template, a search bar will appear. Search for your child theme by name, for example:
child theme = POWER x CompanyName
search = company
The templates will narrow down to the child theme, so make sure you search by the most unique word in your child theme name to easily select from the list.
HubSpot uses a collection of system pages, templates for each of these pages are included with the POWER theme. The following system pages are used in HubSpot:
1. Error Page 404 (preview)
2. Error Page 500 (preview)
3. Password Prompt (preview)
4. Search results page (preview)
5. Email Subscription Preferences (preview)
6. Email Unsubscribe Page (preview)
7. Email Subscription Confirmation (preview)
Here is a full list of system page and email templates with the corresponding header/footer group:
1. Error Page 404 - SYSTEM PAGE
2. Error Page 500 - SYSTEM PAGE
3. Password Prompt - SYSTEM PAGE
4. Search results page - SYSTEM PAGE
5. Email Subscription Preferences - LANDING PAGE
6. Email Unsubscribe Page - LANDING PAGE
7. Email Subscription Confirmation - LANDING PAGE
The child theme automatically inherits the templates from the parent theme, so even though you don't see template files in the child theme, there are still 2 versions - the marketplace version (most likely POWER branded) and your child theme (with your brand).
The only templates or modules that need to be cloned to the child theme are those where you are making structural changes to the module. Any other changes can be made in the child.css or child.js files.
If you would like to use your own image for the 404 and 500 error pages, this will need to be updated in Design Tools.
We will be updating the theme to allow for the image to be changed without code and recommend waiting if it is not critical.
In Design Tools, open the POWER theme from the marketplace folder and navigate to the Templates > System folder.
Right-click on the 404.html and choose "Clone to child theme" then choose your child theme in the pop-up.
You will need to modify the code to change the image, please contact support for help.
System Page Templates provide necessary pages for your website to function properly, for example, the 404 Error Page alerts visitors that a page is missing or no longer available.
⚠️ If your website is currently live with another theme or template in HubSpot, completing these steps will immediately change the appearance of your System Pages. ⚠️

Settings → Website → System Pages
System Page templates are global and can be set for all domains, or individually by domain.
You will see an instance of the template for each version of POWER in your portal. For example, if you have one child theme you will see two pages listed: one for the parent/marketplace theme and one second for the child theme.
When you click in the box to select a template, a search bar will appear. Search for your child theme by name, for example, if my child theme is called "POWER x example" I can search for "ex" and it will narrow it down to the child theme template:

At this time, HubSpot has not provided the drag-and-drop capability for system pages. Any customization for system page templates included in the theme would need to be done by a developer.
